What do you look for in a surfing community?

Postby skyraider » Mon Jan 03, 2005 9:57 pm

Hey,
I'm preparing to start up an Online Surf Shack - a surfing community similar to this one. I surf myself (7'6" NSP board). What do you guys look for a surfing community - i.e. what parts of surfing-waves.com do you enjoy?

Thanks for the feedback :)

- Zach

By the way, has anyone here surfed at Folly Beach, S.C.?

I really enjoy being able to talk to other surfers who have been where I have and have had my same fears, troubles, laughs, etc. It's also a very friendly place here. The content of the site is nice, but I really love the people.

I like everything about it...
Its nice to share events and hear about other places to surf and stuff.
But i guess my favorite thing is to learn to do something, or to help out to teach.

Hey, Skyrider! I was wondering if anyone surfed in SC as I have never heard it mentioned. Is that where you surf? If so, how is it? I'd be interested in checking it out in SC, never been there. Thanks!
