...because we get asked the same questions over and over and over again, despite the fact that all the info is there either on the site, or on a thread already here.

We're a friendly bunch but sometimes we lose our sense of humour :bang:

So if you're after some info, search first - but then ask away, pretty much any question will be answered on here. Sometimes it'll even make sense

 Thanks.

I suspect I'll be asking some questions for which the search would be inadequate!

Postby pdp » Mon Jul 21, 2008 7:45 am

Hola todos,
am new to this site - living down Barcelona way although come from Glasgow area - my surfing is limited but trying to teach the kids so they can benefit from where we live. Unfortunately life this summer has been dominated by Euro 08 & Wimbledon and we've probably had more rain since May than in the previous 4 summers, well we needed it.
Have contacts with a number of extreme sports down in south spain & Lanzarote: surfing, kite-sufing, windsurfing, sky-diving... plenty to do, that's for sure.
Cheers aye

Another Saffa in the UK

Postby jumpinggene » Tue Jul 29, 2008 7:11 pm

Hi everyone,

I'm living in Exeter, 30, female, and originally from South Africa.

I started surfing about 3 months ago (started bungling around in Tynemouth, Jersey, Bude and Newquay). I took the plunge and went on a surfing week at a surf school in Newquay, and am totally hooked. You'll mostly see me at Fistral or Towan on Saturdays/Sundays.

I joined because the advice on this forum is incredibly useful, and I had to be able to add my two-pennies-worth!

New in this forum. New to surfing from Mazatlan Mexico

Postby Pornstar » Wed Jul 30, 2008 8:19 pm

Hi guys.
Im just introducing myself.
I am new to surfing, i habve been a bodyboarder for over 15 years.
I recently switched to surfing and it is quite a diferent experience so dfar i love it.
here in Mazatlan its just the other way around on the winter its shitless surf and in the summer we get some big waves within half an hour toi an hour drive up north.

We mostly have beachbrakes and quite a few reef poinbreak waves.

I currently own to surfboards a beated up 6´5 Strada that i learned with. An i just bought a 6´6´´ Byrne Mullet for the small stuff.

See you around here guys!
