I am a bit slow off the mark when it comes to internet, my photos and what to do with them I have hundreds that I love but rarely look at. The other week my friend said she had chosen her favourite digital pics and turned the into prints and hung them on the wall - What a great idea! After loads of research the best company I could find for really good quality and variety was mydoodle.com. I used the highline, an acrylic print that really gleams on my wall. Not cheap but really excellent. Thought this may help others who have several old favs that they rarely get to appreciate - you could hint for a print for Christmas!

Pah, I'm gonna
give some prints for christmas
Hint for people living abroad: you can email your prints to your original country and get them printed there and delivered direct to your mum - they like that
At a very rough guesstimate I'd say I've got more than 20,000 shots on my hard drive, about a quarter of which are my shots (rather than for a client) and do I ever think to print them out?
*DBBB looks at 5-years old picture on wall*
PS Odd first post to a surfing site (is this spam? I'm not sure), but hey, hello anyway.

My wife and I differ on what constitutes a suitable photo for the walls of our house. However, luckily I work somewhere that allows me to put up photos in my office, so I have them covering my cupboard doors.
My colleagues call it my 'pretending to have a life wall'.

Just to a bore . . . I treat my photographs like evolution . . . the better ones stay and those lesser go to archive . . . saves sooo much disk and human time (mind you, I do spend up to seven days at eight hours a day (yes a whole working week) manually post processing custom images) . . if only prints could do them justice . . . . thanks for the rating of the company you used . . . might be worth a look

Not passion, just improvements . . . highlights, corrections, dust, colourations. Then manipulations like, say, an arm or a leg for a better visual. Then the background . . . anything there that will detract from the focus of the picture ? . . mostly not, but not every photograph can be taken at the optimum 'picture perfect' moment. In essence my best photographs can stand their own ground . . . but I do work some of them so they become pixel perfect (or so I like to think).
