Very interesting pic. I love the colours, the length of the wave and the curve of the horizon. If the background was just a bit different (looks like heavy industry) it would have been poster worthy...

Looks pretty righteous. What's the ISO and did you hit much fill light in the bottom right corner? Looks like it's picking up a bit of noise.

Rockin the 50D right?

its a little bit north of huntington beach.
you can see the factory from there, factory is right between newport beach and huntington beach.

I agree that he should really work in somekind of surfing magazine.

I think that's a refinery, not a factory. when I subbed in HB that was right in view from one of the schools.

I love BDW's shots and some of them are exceptional.

Unfortunalty mags want pin sharp closeups of the surfers with all the designer names blazing all over the shots...

Thanks all! It was shot off the HB Pier, and that is the Edison Electrical plant blowing nothing but steam. I already work in the motocross industry pretty much full time, I don't think I would have enough time for both. I just like to go down to the pier when the waves are good and see what I can come up with. If you are ever bored, check out Motocross.com and you can see what I shoot when I kind of know what I am doing!

No way! Haha, I am actually looking to buy a Dirt Bike to be able to reach remote beaches around here man. Need some decent prices. Btw, I am definitely moving to California in a year or two to surf there or something man, for real!
