Learning Surfing & Spanish

Postby Clairice » Mon Aug 20, 2007 12:17 am

Hi there,

I'm a German girl and I would like to travel to Costa Rica or another place to learn both surfing and spanish at the same time!

Sure, I'm looking for a place to meet interesting people who like to have lots of fun!

Can anybody recommend a special place?

Thanks a lot ;)

Lots of ¨learn to surf, learn spanish¨ places in Costa Rica, especially around Jaco. Usually you will get 4 hours of spanish with a surf lesson in the afternoon with a couple hours of surf. Some include trips to waterfalls, etc. But they can be expensive.
Another alternative is to come to Costa Rica for 2-4 weeks or longer, take some surf lessons, take a week of spanish lessons and talk to everyone you can find. Cheaper, but not all packaged up.
IPAI in Jaco has private Spanish lessons for $15 per hour and you can rent a board here for $15 a day. Take a couple surf lessons, you are on your way.
Check the internet for surf and speak packages.
