Surfing Waves

I am applying for a year long fellowship (medical). There are sites located in Lima Peru, Fortaleza, Brazil, and Durban SA. Which site would you choose in regards to surf (they are equal in regards to my interests)? Fortaleza is supposed to be great, but ... well I've surfed with Brazillians before and they seem to lack a bit in etiquette... Durban is probably nice (English speaking and great waves) but its a bit sharky i hear. As for Peru, I havent heard anything first hand about the quality of the waves but it looks promising from a quick search of the web.

Anyhow, how bout a little input

I'd go with Fortaleza..............remember the Brasillians you meet outside the country are normally from wealthy famillies, so are naturally a bit arrogant and loud in the water, but out of the water they're normally cool

I was expecting a hard time when I went to Brasil, but I met the friendliest surfers ever

Go for Fortaleza! The place is really perfect for adventure like in barcelona playas... I have read many interesting articles about Fortaleza.
