Hey everyone

My parents have a timeshare in Tampa where we've been going since I was really young...they have great scuba there, but the surf could be better (or maybe I just need a change of scenery). In any case I've been trying to get them to swap it out for a different location but they really like the west Florida coast and don't want the hassle. If I do wind up convincing them someday, though, are there any other spots you can recommend in the gulf where the surf is a little different?

I don't blame your parents for not wanting the hassle. If you have a timeshare you might not be able to set up shop anywhere, brah. They’re not like a hotel where you can just check out. My folks tried for several years to get out of their timeshare in Carlsbad before they paid a company, Timeshare Relief, to get rid of it for them. I never did understand why they couldn’t even give away beach front property, hopefully that can be a heads up to you.

I've also vacationed in Key West, which is AWESOME...although I've never tried the waves there. I would look into something there, maybe, if you've never been!
