Surfing travel in Sri Lanka

Anyone had any experience taking a longboard in or out of Sri Lanka?
I'm going there at the end of October/November and want to take my board (only 9'2). Is there likely to be any problems getting from the airport down to Hikkaduwa most likely?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
