hi im travelling to san diego for a few weeks and i was planning to cycle the 7 miles to the beach with a board, i thought it would be better to buy a bag so i could bring the board home than a rack for the bike, anyway, would it wreck your shoulder carrying a board on it for that distance every day, anyone done it??
thanks

That's a long way, but I see people in CR do it all the time. They just don't go very fast. I think it would be pretty tiring and make your shoulder sore.

It'd be an awesome leg workout.

You can buy bolt on racks for your bikes. I dont know how well they work, how much they cost or where you can get one....but they exist.

I´m in Portugal at the mo and loadsa folk seem to have racks for their bikes, they seem pretty easy to ride with. I´d go for that because although I reckon holding the board would be possible it would just get bloody annoying! And imagine if it´s windy or a big SUV comes past, okay you´re gonna get blown about whatever method you´re using but with a rack you have 2 hands to steady yer bike with.
That´s my opinion anyway. ...J...
