I will be heading down to CR for 3 weeks in August. I am thinking of staying in Jaco/Hermosa for the first week or so and then head over to Mal Pais/Santa Teresa.
For those that have been to CR, know any good surf shops or local shaper in the Jaco area? How did you like CR?

Cheers in advance!
:D

I figure this forum is a little more appropriate for the thread. My other thread was more towards figuring out the right board dimension for me.
Thanks for the reply Jethrodog. :)

Okay.
Chuck's W.O.W. Surf, usually best prices.
Arenas Surf, CR distributor of Santa Cruz boards, good selection
Fischer Bros, never rode their boards but the word out is they break easily
Roka Loka Surf, decent little shop, tico owned, watch your wallet
Dozens of little shops, spread out through Jaco, check them out if you aren't picky about a certain brand you can find great deals
Don't buy the $4 boardshorts, they fall apart in water
prices are generally higher than in the USA but cheaper than Europe
go to The Taco Bar for lunch, their fish tacos rock! but only once, it isn't cheap
don't go in the Monkey Bar, you are only asking to get the shite kicked out of you and all your dinero lifted
if a chica grabs your package  don't buy her a drink, she's a pro, and they ALL have diseases

One more thing, pay for it in cash. You will usually save 13%-25% if you pay in cash instead of Visa/Mastercard. Also after you decide on what you want, ask for the best price. Tell them you will pay cash.
