Moving to Hawaii need surf spots suitable for me.

im moving to hawaii for college.
im from the east coast used to small swells and the occasional head high swell.
im a big fan of waist to chest high waves.
were is a good spot to surf on ohau thats not crowded?
keep in mind waist to chest high is what i prefer.

That depends, are you a white howlie boy?? You probably are so I recommend you don't go to secluded beachs unless you like getting your head kicked in.

The south shore of Oahu is a really fun place to surf. I enjoyed many sessions starting at Ala Moana to the lighthouse at Diamond Head. There are many good places on the south shore and the waves and locals are more mellow.

Remember to show respect for natives especailly the older ones.

no im not super white skinned. im actually really tan and dark haired so i would somewhat fit in. but i ala moana is someplace i will deff look up.
