We are looking at going on a sufring holiday.
We have surfed a fair bit in the UK and also surfed in Australia and New Zealand for a couple of weeks. We are top end beginners and want to go somewhere where the surf is reliable and sutible for beginners to intermidiates.
We have looked at Kuta in Bali, Sri Lanka, Oz again, Florida, Hawaii. Has anyone got any advice they can offer about the above or other places, time of year or websites to look at.
Thanks
Lydia

Hello,
Morocco can be a very good option as it's not really far from the UK and the surf is pretty good for any level of surf as you have plenty of spots for all levels, this not to mention that the cost of life is quiet cheap here.

You can go to Long Beach Island in New Jersey. They never get anything over six foot, but it's still a good time with lots to do when you're out of the water.

Check out Encuentro near Cabarete in the Dominican Republic. It has a very consistent break (almost every day good waves whole year round!) and is perfect for beginners and intermediate surfers. On average like 1.5 - 2 meter waves, sometimes a bit higher, but than still some smaller ones in the front or side. Encuentro is the best spot of the country and maybe of the Caribean, but still not crowded or touristy. Very relaxed atmosphere and beautiful beach. There are not many hotels close to the spot. Most of them are not on walking distance.
The good thing about the DR is of course the weather (no wetsuit!!), the consistent break and also that there are so many other things to do besides surfing. Flights in autumn are normally pretty cheap and there are many airlines flying to Puerto Plata which is the nearest airport (20 minutes drive).

Fiji. Coral Coast.
Start at Namoutu, get some confidence, Work over to Wilkes Pass, Then Hit Cloudbreak. Ive seen Guys get sooo much improvement over just a 10 day stay.
You could also do a East Coast Australia road trip. Start North, hire a van, head South and take the coast road all the way. Points, beaches, River mouths all the way down to Vic Boarder.

I think so that Florida and Hawaii is best.Beacuse you want to go somewhere where the surf is reliable and sutible for beginners to intermidiates.
So best luck.
