New Zealand, Australia

My parents said in one year, I can go to college in Australia if I don't like it in South Carolina, does anybody know of any colleges in Australia or New Zealand, that are close to nice surf. I don't want to be going to extremly sharky spots, nor gigantic waves (20 feet). Biggest I can surf without getting terrified is 10 feet. Any spots that are pretty consistant and don't get out of control big? In NZ or Australia?

University of Otago in Dunedin, South Island, NZ. On the money for some incredible waves and scenery, near to good mountains too. Gets damn cold in the winter though.
