it's time to come to portugal, offshore salty breeze, warmest water, coldest beer, bikinis all around, sun is shining, rest of the europe flat during the summer..

north center or south I have many contacts in surfcamps, cheap houses to stay. if you come let me know. ;)

I might be!

I thought Faro might be a good place to start my European Adventure since the flights seem cheapy cheap-cheap.

Can you tell me anything about surfing Portugal (and the place in general)? Is surf hire readily available is it hard to get around using public transport? Are there many campsites/hostels about?

hey,

near faro you have Sagres the most ocidental point of europe what makes swell come hard, beautiful landscapes with many crowded and uncrowded spots to surf.

no problem in public transports, in sagres you have surfcamps and houses to rent.
