Hey Folks,

for the first three weeks in july me and my girlfriend are planing our camping trip down to hossegor in france. She is a firsttime surfer and im something in between beginner and advanced ;)

So we are looking for good spots of course, but also for a good surfschool and a nice campingground, which wont cost us our yearlywage ;)

We found the campingground "cote d'argent" somewhat attractive and affortable, anybody been there yet?

Would be awesome to get some tips :)

Thanks,
Freddy

Check out this site http://www.touradour.com/shops/surftrip/gb/surftrip.asp

I've never been myself but it should give you plenty of decent info.

Hi,
we visit this area of france at least twice a year and love it. personally i find hossegor a bit too much like newquay, and we tend to stay in the smaller towns further north. A great one to try is Mimizan-plage. evrything is really cheap and there are loads of campsites in the area. The beach is always really quiet, but the waves are really good. We were there 4 weeks ago, and can't wait to go back!

hey guys thanks for the info so far.

@ beckster: can u recommend some particular campsites?
We are searching for big-huge camping sites, with sport sites and good facilities....

What about mimizan plage, is there a good surfschool as well?

Cheers
