Driving Mexico's Atlantic Coast

I'm driving up from Chiapas to Texas in a couple of days and was hoping that somebody could tell me of any possible surf spots on the way... complete beginner, caught a few waves, but just getting the hang of it. Little waves would be great, as would beach breaks, and rip protected coves.
