What's the lowdown?

Good break? What about the town itself?

Just wondering as may head there this w/end instead of braving the Newquay gangland during RTTS.

I love polzeath. Its my favourite surf spot.
Surf is usually consistant for a beginner but you better ask someone else for more detail.

Its not really a town. More a village, there is a spar and a cost cutter, a couple of surf shops and a couple of cafes. A nice camp site is on the cliff by the coast but it can get blowy so be warned.

Its dead nice atmos tho, and there is a nice walk along the cliffs if you are bored too.

Polzeath is a pretty good break.
Still crowded, but not like Newquay, and the vibe isnt too bad in the water.

Its unlikely to be working this weekend though. :(

I hear ya mate, fortunate we haven't book anything in some ways, as it means we can go with the flow (or the swell)

Although I need to be somewhere I can hire kit, which is a pain! Sold my board a good time ago when I needed the cash (marooned in LA otherwise! LOL)

There's a couple of unusual features about the weather patterns right now, so there's some unpredictability from about monday onwards, but generally its gonna be a shortperiod wind chop only :(

I dont think anywhere will be working very well this weekend. :(
Weather getting steadily worse from saturday onwards too.

Still time for things to change, and the patterns are a bit weird so maybe something unexpected will get thrown our way.

There wont be any problems hiring kit in Polzeath. As always though, its a challenge to find a 'real' board that you'd want to surf
