How far should I go to surf?

How am I supposed to know when to leave the place I am, with no obligations to anyone, to move somewhere to try and make enough money to have a crappy apartment or share a house just so I can surf? I did it when I was 18 to go to Steamboat Springs, Colorado to ski/snowboard because back then, the moutains were my passion...But I got a different taste now that makes me understand surfing the same way people understand the music of the Grateful Dead or Phish. Is it possible for this 22 year old, or should I graduate college and see where this wave takes me? If your going to respond with lame accusations and mean behavior, please, don't bother. If you want to respond, know in your heart that it will make a difference.

Peace,
T

You have to travel as far as it takes to get there. Coming from me, someone who had kids and gotmarried, job and the oppressive mortgage too young, you HAVE to do it, you have to do it not just for you, but for all of us that f$&ed up...

If I was you mate I would just go for it. Think back to how you felt when you were gliding through the snow when you were 18 and remember how good it felt. The same feeling will return for the waves man!!! DO IT NOW BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!!! I wish I could but I have a job thats leading to qualifications so I'm gonna have to wait. If you think your college studies will be of benefit to you in future then finish them and then get off to the coast, but dont hold back too long, none of us know what the future holds!!!!!
