Have any of you guys found any spots to wild camp around there?

Whats the chances of getting moved on in a VW T25 in the middle of the night?

I'm not *very* familiar with the area, but Ive been there in the van a couple of times.

Tricky to find somewhere right on the beach - lots of national trust car parks which get shut up for the night, or campsites right up into the dunes. But if you're happy to park ten minutes away - piece of cake 8)

Loads of spots. As usual, dead easy in winter, more tricky in summer.

booked some time off work for the week after easter (school holdays probably which is a bit lame). Sadly my friend who I have stayed with once is in amsterdam. I am going to do a bit of measuring and figure out if it would be better to do north devon instead.

I assume I'll get something working somwhere in april.

Gower is probably easier than north devon for parking up overnight at that time of year.

Its quite a bit further though in petrol and time as I will be coming down from sheffield and leaving to get back to london (if that makes any sense)
what say you on the best chance of decent conditions?

Can you not sneak in the car park at Saunton, if you hide round the back? I stayed in the Beach Villas a couple of years ago and there were always vans in there.

Obviously no way of forecasting the conditions, but north devon has the edge on gower purely because if its not big enough to be working in devon, you can always head further west into cornwall, while you're already at probably the biggest spot if you're at Gower.

(Does pembrokeshire get bigger than gower? I'd've thought it would be more blocked by ireland, but dont know for sure) :?

No fresh is normally the biggest in pembs and that is about the same (if not smaller)than the Gower, the only advantage we have over the gower/north Devon is the lack of crowds 8) as who would drive an hour past loads of breaks to surf slightly smaller conditions?

Oh yeah, that reminds me about the talk of heading for your local, lex, for a surfing waves easter meet...

I will be in wales (or north devon) the week after easter, (but not during).

not sure if that helps anyone.

I am hoping that it will be nice weather because wales on a beautiful day is amazing.

decided on the gower, found a lovely campsite for not much a night.

I'll post up a report on the place.

Anyone else got fav campsites post them up, it would be nice to have a list of surfer friendly campsites.
