I'm heading to Morocco in March and looking at staying around Taghazout/Tamrhakht/Essaouria. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm on a bit of a budget so wouldn't mind kipping on someone's floor, or finding a hostel-type place that provides transport to save on rental costs.

I'm going to Taghazoute for the first 2 weeks in March!

Staying at a surf camp (
www.surfmaroc.co.uk), which may be a bit pricey if you're on a budget (as I am, then I decided what the hell!) but they're right on the beach, and provide airport transfers and daily transport to any of the local breaks!
Less than 5 weeks to go!

I just got back from 3 weeks in Tag and scored some epic waves!
I stayed in an apartment along the main drag in Town, cost roughly 10 quid a night which I shared with a friend so I paid a fiver a night. It would have been cheaper if there had been four of us. I'm sure it can be done much cheaper but you'd need to ask around in town.

Sal, I got the SurfMaroc recommendation from a dude in Braunton, but was pretty much preoccupied with cost and they do seem pricey. Still, I might get in touch and see what they can do for 5 days (not long, so I intend to make the most of it). Have you or anyone you know stayed there before?
Otherwise, MR, are there generally a lot of places available in town? What's access to beaches like from there?

There's loads of places in town and the local's will also offer cheap rooms if you ask. Its all so stress free just arrive in town and ask one of the guys at the surf shops to help you out. Everyone is willing to help out. The town is small and very safe.
The beach is literaly a few minutes walk from the main road in the town and Anchor point which is an amazing wave is a 10 mins or so walk along the coastal road north of the town. Further up the coast there are a few other beaches and point breaks to explore but you will need a car for those.
Any other tips or advice just ask.

Dont worry dude...I am relitivley new to these forums....but have been into alot of online stuff for awhile....
You seem to be a class act....made your point(very well I might add)....So ya, i think though that like most buisness, yours will travel through word of mouth. If you provide a quality service, you will be rewarded for it.
