Surfing Waves

Are there any good surf spots here. Like for begginers? And any other good surf shops near Babylon or something?

not sure where in LI you are... but I was told Montuak was the place to go... good shops, good locals but go EARLY in the day.

you can go to robert moses or long beach. there are lots of surfers at any of these 2 beaches.

ive surfed all of LI case i live there and the best spot i have eva found is Moutauk or like 6:30PM at any inlet is usly prity good if there is some wind

yeah there are some pretty good spots to surf on Long Island --> Montauk and Fire Island/Robert Moses.

i surf mainly FI, but Montauk is...better

I have found some great waves at Nickerson Beach. The waves were gnarly and awesome. There were great swells. Some more details can be found here. nickersonbeach.com
