Surf Packages in Florianopolis, Brazil

If you haven't heard of Florianopolis yet, you should definitely check it out.

Just got back from a surf holiday there, had an INCREDIBLE time. Amazing waves, beaches, food, natural beauty, nightlife, girls (and guys for the girls too;)... you name it! And all very reasonable -- less than a long weekend in paris, london or las vegas, even factoring in the airfare!

I stayed with Nexus Surf in praia mole, close to lagoa, which was an amazing place to stay, and the guys there are super cool. They went above and beyond the call of duty in every respect, and I had best waves, food, nightlife, etc. -- three thumbs up for sure!

Happy surfing!

Cheers.

What time of year did you go...and how big and clean were the waves?

i was there first week in November, during the WCT pro tour event. waves at the event weren't all that great, a bit wind blown, but we were cruising around to all different venues (not being bound by bleachers and sponsor tents, etc.) with our nexus guides and had amazing waves 5/7 days. 3 days we had double overheads, all relatively clean, the rest solid head high peelers. i thought would be crowded, but so many breaks/peaks on the island, not an issue at all. sept/oct/nov is apparently the windy season, but you can get out and surf from 9-1pm or so before it picks up, so not really a problem. only hard part was waking up early after going out, b/c the nightlife there is ridiculous...

cheers!

Mmmmmmm!!!

That's not what I was hoping for!!

Florianopolis is on the island of Santa Caterina, and I've heard there's loads of almost empty beaches facing the Atlantic.

Sal, I reckon you're right about the original post being spam!

pat, this is rio, up the coast, but it is still the atlantic ocean(hit and miss), so the picture is for the water not the people. like i said, i'm not sure when the surf season is, but at least the water should be warm, give us a real report when you get back and have fun!

The beauty of credit cards :D :D :D :D :D

You gotta enjoy life to the max!

I'll be in Brazil for 7 weeks. I had this booked ages ago.
I'll be in Rio for a week (looks a bit crowded buckthis!!) and I know there's no surf there in summer, but I'm hoping further down south I'll get some swell.

But I wont be too bothered if there isnt cos I'm sure there's going to be plenty of hot chicks to check out!!
