heading out to hawaii next month, know of any sites that have the surf forecast for oahu, kauai? surfline is alright but looking for a website more local.

found northshore.com but its primarily for vacationers rather then surfers. any others???

I think it's mostly look out the window, talk to surfers/surf shops. Drive around, depending on the island, you could drive around the whole island in little over an hour. That way you can see for yourself if the waves are for you, as most of the main roads go right along the beaches.

thats not true at all. maybe it should take an hour. id guess about 3 to circle the entire island of oahu with no traffic problems. it takes me 40 minutes on a day with no traffic to go straight from the south to the north shore, one way. when the traffic is bad it takes me 40 minutes just to travel the 8 miles from school to home.

i use surfnewsnetwork also. and surf lines are good, i use (808)922 2664 since the surf news network one gives you like a minute of bull ads before the reports.
