family holidays

Postby bluesnowcone » Wed Aug 30, 2006 10:34 am

dont you just hate them, of all places in the world to go, my family has to go to cyprus, i know there can be a little wave, but why not portugal, or france, no they have to go to cyprus flats vill, ful of holiday makers

i would prefer it if they left me on saunton beach with a tent, and some cash that way i could kip in the dunes with my board and but cheap food.

Sandy Beach is supposed to be longboardable, but I don't know...

Cheer up tho. Scrounge some cash for a boat trip and you might get lucky - if you hook up with the right guide.

The <dead url> article on WetSand might cheer you up.

If you are going in the winter the Med has waves.

Greece and Italy for eg.

But you are going to need to keep checking swell/wind maps/forecasts morning and night if you want to get luck. And you'll need luck :D

And a car/boat ;)

May I suggest....

Maui...This is from Ho'okipa in early to mid August. Not only every kind of surfing, but plenty of other things to do to keep the non water inclined people in the family happy too.
