Surfing Gran Canaria-Las Palmas

Postby alex » Mon Aug 07, 2006 3:47 pm

Hi guys,
can anyone tell me sth about the waves around Las Palmas, is a longboard or shortboard better + what kind of beaches are there (sand etc). Also, how is the thing with locals? is there a beach that should be avoided or its ok???
Thanks 8)

All of the carnaries are volcanic... so thats neans mostly reef. There are some sandy beaches on all the islands but unless its on the east or southern sides there are usally shories. (thoese on the east and south of the islands rarly get swells.....)

Look the main spots up... - www.wannasurf.com
