This may sound like a really stupid question, but what do you guys do with your boards over night when camping???? Hoping to get to devon tonight on first surfing/camping trip and haven't a clue what to do with them??? They won't fit in the car or the tent and don't want them to get robbed!! Any clues???

Cheers

Mate if you are out in the country side with no one around you should be sweet. If you think someone may come in the middle of the night and take em this is what i do.
If you have a case for the boards get some rope slide the boards under your car and hook them to the to something under the car.Park the car near where you sleep so if someone goes at em you may wake up and have time to <edit>....
It works for me..
If you dont have a case well i guesssssss you will just have to invent something thats what its all about

I bought a bigger tent :) cheaper than a new surfboard and a much more comfortable camping experience.

yeah that was gonna be my suggestion, you'll be sorted if you can store them inside the tent. i guess you've already thought of it!

Rape Alarm, dude! Before I went to Costa Rica for camping\ surfing, I bought a cheap rape alarm. It works wonders for a good night sleep. If you hear the alarm, someone is grabbing you're board.

I attached the alarm to a stick under my board, and had a string attached to my board.

make your board(s) your buddy in the tent...besides, board bags/socks make a great sleeping bag in a pinch...okay, unless you're surfing nova scotia in the winter.
