Surfing in the Pacific Northwest

Hi, I'm new to surfing and I'm looking to go around the northwest and surf, so I was just wondering where are the best places to surf along the Washington and Oregon coasts. I also wanna know which are the coolest surfing towns in these areas. thanks!

Yeah hopefully you realize you're gonna need a wetsuit up here but anyhow there are many beaches that are great in oregon pacific city has great beginner waves earlier in the day and the beaches around and in newport/depot bay area are also terrific, thats all i know of

the best spot in oregon is short sand beach for begginers then devels punch bowl.

other good spots are at agate beach and devels punch bowl were there are no hazards but pacific city is realy good too.

agate... who suggested agate? nothing but neck breaking inside waves there... stay at short sands

up here in WA you can surf at Westport (really popular place to surf), Longbeach, and I think another is La Poca. Some have surfed up in the strait of juan de fuca too i believe

man if you're from BC then come over to Vancouver Island!! Dont waste your time goin down into the states, Jordan River and Tofino on the island here are amazing surf spots
