There are tones of places in the town its self as well as north and south of the town.

The whole stretch of coast there gets wicked beach breaks so no matter where u end up there will be a a peek for you (if there is swell.)

In july it sud be warm enough to sleep on the beach in ur board bags if ur really stuck :)

Just look about on the web.

When I went to Biaritz, I just camped on the beach. It was cheap and good, save the week-ends. It seemed the cops came around every saturday and wrecked the camp. During the week, thoug, you should be fine.

Hi,

I'm in the same situation, looking for a cheap place to camp there.
You said "on the beach" - I like the idea :) so I'm wondering about the cops... they just tell you to: "do not camp on the beach again and ask you to leave" or you get immedaiately a penalty/mandate or smth ?

I was "caught" two times. The cops seemed agressive, and started to put our campfire out. An act like fine or anything else seemed out of the question.

My advise is to camp on the beach during the week, and keep a low profile during fri.\sat. night. (no campfire)

Good luck.
