Hi there. I was i OZ last year to do my passion, surfing. I was all over the east coast and defenetly the bedst cleanes spot was Bells Beach in Vic. But there are gerat spots all over the coast so just go for it, south they get the big swell, while north you get the warm water.

hey, im from the east coast of oz. If your looking for the best place to surf come here for shore. The waves are not great all the time but theres always some where to surf. There is also alot of surfers so the lineup is always packed. But if u r looking for something bigger then south and west are the places to go.

hope u find a good place. \/ piece

ya east coast is good. but at the moment we've been on the longest flat spell yet, 1-2ft for the last 4 months. but usually we get decent 3ft most of the time, and odd 6-8fters and then cyclone season, it gets up 10ft+.

Hey im from Syd and i can give you one piece of advice.... DONT MOVE TO BONDI! Its packed worse than Superbank (QLD) and the waves suck.

Often I travel south for surfing trips and god there is quality down there. Bells Beach always rips (and its the only surfing reserve in Oz), but if you dont want to go down as far, there is alot of good waves between Nowra and Ulladulla (in NSW, 3 hours south of syd).

Always offshore at the island.

Down south in Victoria there are hundreds of surf breaks, facing totally different directions but mostly facing the southern ocean - delivering lots of swell. There is barely a day all year when u cant find a quality wave somewhere within driving distance. My two favourite spots are phillip island and the west coast. Phillip island can handle almost any wind direction and gets as much swell as anywhere. West coast has awesome beachies and well known reefs such as bells and winki. And mostly very friendly - not like gold coast which is much more competitive.
