bluesnowcone2000, did you mean this waves machine? The waves are intended for power(electricity) generating and not for recreational purpose though. Unless there's other waves machine.

That looks more like an extensive skimboarding, looks fun though. :)

You mean it's gonna be something like Ron Jon Surfpark  ? If it is, that's something I like to know more about. I'd be very grateful if you could post it here of any update and/or more info about it.

Were getting one of them in swansea when they rebuild the leisure centre. The one here is gonna be a "surf stream" which is apparently designed for surfing on, some of those "flowrider" things can be just a mellow slope with water shooting up it, not quite as radical as the thing you might have seen kelly and tony hawks etc riding on at the swatch events (the one which throws out a rideable tube and everything).
I hope the one here is gonna be the second type not just some lame slope for bodyboarders, i have a gut feeling tho that itll be the slow type.

Its weird that they only allow sponge onthe slower ones... cause its lame on a sponge... crank up the swatch style standway and you've got the ability to launch 8+ft off the top on a sponge :)

yeah, but the problem is people smashing themselves up on it and sueing the leisure centre, the mellower ones are made from some padded material and you cant really do yourself much damage. But saying that, there is a council skatepark next to the leisure centre and kids are constantly injuring themselves on that. Have to wait and see if it lives up to all the hype.

wake machine
