I'm visiting a friend in the Isle of Man in September.... should I take my surfboard??

I've visited a few websites but they all seem to contradict one another, seems basically that there can be surf, but don't count on it.

Has anyone actually been?

i live in the isle of man.. guess you got it right!
`there can be surf but don`t count on it`

have only lived here since october, but it seems there are two main beach breaks.

Peel on the west coast not very often this is on but when it is it`s good (everybody stay`s at the harbour end/middle bad rocks at other end!!)

Gansey on the south coast near Port St Mary this is more regular (you know your there when you find the surf shop `hubba bubba` set back from the road a little)

in september i think you have a good chance of there being some surf

Stu, thanks so much.
I really thought this message would never be answered!

So, thank you. Hopefully september will be ok, but is there a board hire place? I'm staying with a friend and I have no idea if my board will fit in her car, and if there is no surf I'll be annoyed I've brought it.

Is there board hire at hubba bubba?

thanks so much stu! yeah my friend has a kind of love/hate relationship with TT week.

I could try and find them on the internet too and give them a call. Either way, I hope to see you out there!
