I'm looking for somewhere to go on a surfing holiday in late april - currently live in london. I looking for somewhere warm (don't really want to wear much more than a rash vest!). Can anyone recommend a go place to go? Ideally i want to go with a company who sorts it all for me - cause i'm likely to be going on my own!! Thanks

Hi, no wetsuit? you'll have to be travelling along way to get to the warm waters in late April...
Portugal, Spain, Canaries will be warm, but the water is still cold.
Depends on your budget...Type what you want in any search engine on the internet and i bet you'll find hundreds of organised surf trips with equipment included, and for people travelling alone, and for surfers of all abilities.
I'm off down to cornwall in late April/May...but the water is freezing :)

If you want warm water in April try Indo, or some of the islands in the pacific, like Tonga or Somoa, maybe even sri lanka. Of course this will depend on your ability, but remember most of these are reef breaks so it depends on how much you value your skin ;-), you will probably need a helmut and booties. Try this website:

I like to use this company to book my holidays, but of course they are located in Australia, their website has heaps of good info though on surfing destinations.

Cabarete in the Dominican Republic is great. Waves at Encuentro are good in april and the spot is beautiful, not crowded and friendly people. Weather is around 28 degrees. No wetsuit! And Cabarete is a great place to be. Lots of things to do, good nightlife, many surfers and kitesurfers and it is definitely worth while to check a little more out in the Dominican Republic.

Hi there...

Pretty nice over here on Oahu...I've actually never used anything but a rash guard --- and board shorts --- while surfing. Lots of companies that will do what ever you pay them to do :-)
Trips are getting a lot cheaper these days...
I found return tickets Honolulu - Wherever in Europe for less than $700 in November...with www.nwa.com
