Is it ok to travel in north spain on the bus with my board?

I'm looking at Flying to bilboa/la coruna in a few weeks to check out the surf spots along the north coastline. But my problem is transport, from what i've already on this forum it seems fine to transport the board in the planes cargo. But from there i'm stuck.

I will be traveling/camping on my own and without a full licence i can't rent a car. I'm only going for a week or two so buying a car is out. Would there be much trouble in bringing my board around by bus? I'm looking at buying a 7" board next week so that would be the size.


Any one have any idea? also any good spots around la coruna?
