Beginner Surfer heading to Panama and looking for tips

Postby babag » Sun Feb 19, 2006 12:13 am

Hi,

I just got a really cheap flight to Panama, but have no idea where to
go. Looking for a place I can surf, but I am a beginner, and most of
the stuff I am reading about sounds pretty crazy. So anyone know any
nice little towns I could go to with easily accessible surf that won't
slash me to bits, and have somewhere I can rent some boards? Should be
calmer this time of year too, right?

I went to Jaco (Costa Rica) last year around this time, and spent a
week learning there, had a great time hoping to find a beach in Panama
to do the same.

Any tips?

Thanks
