Hey everyone!
Heading to France for a bit in the Summer and am determined to get some surfing in as haven't been for ages and am getting withdrawl symptoms!! Any suggestions for where I should go?! Also, does anyone know of any good spots around Penzance? (in Cornwall for any non-UK people!) i know it's not the best place to go in Cornwall but I'm going with a friend so can't really dictate where we go! Thanks x x

Hi Malibu
Penzance is not that bad - there are a lot of places around there. It is not far from Land's End and just before that is Sennen Cove, my favourite place to surf in Cornwall. Also it only takes about 35 mins to get from Penzance to Newquay so you have all the North Coast Cornwall beaches within easy reach.
As for France, it's a pretty big place. Do you know what region you are going to - most of the west coast gets some surf. Obviously the southern end of the coast is where the ASP has a stop or two and has world class waves.
If you let me know roughly where you are going I can probably offer some advice.
Or check out wannasurf.com, they have loads of details about the UK and France (well, everywhere really).
Cheers
Sinista

I wanna go now!!! I haven't been near the sea for way too long..and it's still 2 months away on the other side of exams! :( Thanks a lot x x

Fly to Birritz (sp?) thats pretty much central to the main breaks in northen spain and southen france with Anglet right on your doorstep.
to the north... Hosssiger area... LOADS of shoreys
to the south... Loats of Reefs round Acotz and towards the boarder.
Northen spain... some of the most consistant spots in europe.
Grab urself a copy of Stormrider - Europe.

you should go to lacaneau.
that's about 45 minutes away from bordeau on the atlantic.it has an awesome beach, there are lots of surfers. it's just soo cool. i;ve been there last summer and i loved it. they have bars and clubs and stuff right on the beach too, so at night you could go party or whatever you want. :D
