Hi All, I'm looking for
good holiday suggestions for June/July this year? I am of average capability and will be taking my girlfriend who has done a few days before but still learning to stand. We are looking for a location which has a good nightlife, shopping(for her

), is hot as and has good surf, I have a budget in mind of upto £1500 each. Any ideas?

Assuming your in the UK
With that budget you can go anywhere pretty much. Obiviously the further you go the more flights will cost but if your not picky on accomidation you can get all the basic needs and cook yourself you'll have a wicked time and can make the best for both people.
Europe west coast and the islands are an obiviouls choice, but as ever its peek season for travel in June/ July. (earlyer will be better and often the week(s) before the schools break up will be very cheap esp if booking late.

Thanks PapaWoolacombe, sorry I am in the UK. Europe is the obvious choice however we did a week in Fueturventura Sept. last year, wouldn't mind going a litle further-a-field.

Hi PapaWoolacombe, Thanks for your suggestions, we are off to Oz in Jan 2007 and have been to SA before. Do you know any good locations towards the America's (North or South)? Im just concerned about finding somewhere that maybe a bit quiet for the other half.
Thanks for your help.

Well Theres the Cali coast, thats warm, busy... and the waters also busy :(
And as I said Mexico is a great opion. Spanish language, easy to use and get about. good night life for the lady and some spanking breaks :)
Brazilian coast is jsut as good as is Peru authough your starting to get off the beating track as couples holidays goes.
Realistically you can hit any warm country thats opening out onto big oceans. Just read up on what time of year is best for swells then everyones happy :p

keep in mind that the US in the summer isnt great. I cant say from experience what the west coast is like, but I'm pretty sure its hit or miss like the east coast.
the waves that is, not sure if I was clear.

Dude, can I just say that for that money, you can go anywhere in the world if you know a little about the travel industry and where to shop.
Right now you could get 2 weeks in Varadero (Cuba's top rated tourist city) for £179 pp, or two weeks in a four star hotel in the Maldives for £900 ish.

Howzit
J-Bay South Africa is slap bang in firing season then. You might also catch the Billabong Pro around that time and see your favorite surfers in action...

was gonna say Jersey aint a bad place to come for a week, but with the prices the way they are, you can go pretty much anywhere else in the world for less than half the price lol (and actually get out of the UK)

by Hooked Cabarete
Cabarete in the Dominican Republic (fly on Puerto Plata) is great. Waves at Encuentro are really good; for advanced riders, as well as beginners. In the summer a little lower than in wintertime. Ofcourse the weather is great and Cabarete has lots of things to do, a very good nightlife, many restaurants and shopping in Puerto Plata and Santiago (really nice to go because you also see something more of the country).

Hey mate, with that budget you'll be able to pay for a flight to Bali, pay for your visa, get a cheap hotel (couple of quid a night) rent a bike, stay for 2 months, buy loads of new clothes and you'll still come home with change!!
Surfhouse in Hossegor

Hi Snow
I think Hossegor (atlantic coast France) are the perfect place for you and your girlfriend. There are beautiful waves, (beachbreaks, very good if you are a sort of beginner) sunny and warm, alot of party!!! and shopping mania (we have hundreds of surf-shops with nice clothes).
Hope you like it!
Surf´s up;-)

Bali has everything you need. Nightlife, beaches, surf, surf schools, and if you're looking for quiet, get over to the Gili isles off Lombok for a couple of days. Malaysia Airlines or Qantas for cheap flights, Singapore Air costs a bit more but its quicker and an all round better deal.
See you in June!

Hello,
I have a nice option for you. If you're wanting to go for a holiday. Then you should go to Conejo Valley. I also have visited this place. That is a really beautiful location.
Thanks.
