That town itself is more of a base if trippin to Fuert. Needs big swells to make the harbour wall and rockypoint (among others in walking distance) to work.

However its perfect for hitting the entire north track and driving inland route to the cottilo and south breaks.

Rental transport is a must. :)

Hey, I'm heading there in May!!

There are a couple of surf schools that operate out of Corralejo who will take you to the best surf of the day!!

If you look at www.beachwizard.com and select the 'Canaries' they have some reviews of the beaches.

Cheers

When are you thinking of going ???

I am still in contact with the surf school I used whilst out there and I am sure they´ll be able to tell me no problem what the surf will normally be like around that time...

I actually got around in the Surf Van and we drove loads of different places... some of them we didn´t surf, just had a look like places on the North track.

You would need a hire car though to get to most places.

I agree. I stayed in Corralejo last March, fun little town, but go to Cotillo for the better waves. Definitely rent a car, or get one of the surf schools to take you. You can also take a bus, and I'm not sure, but I think you might be able to arrange bringing a board on the bus. (I think)
