What do you want to know? Am sitting here in nusa2 right now.
One thing I will say is December I usually find other things to do; surf is inconsistent at best, rains are on and with that ear and throat infections, nusa2 has been overrun by surf schools and learners in the last few years and since December has such poor surf (very small most of the time) the issue is exacerbated and it is hard to get a wave that doesn't have someone pushed into it. I usually will try to surf the onshore west coast in the mornings before the winds are up rather than anywhere here in my backyard unfortunately. The flipside is there are a couple peaks that regardless of the time of year are for better & fit surfers only since they are considerably offshore (800-900m), have strong longshore and rip currents, and get comparatively bigger than most places in Bali on same day swell. Most take boats out to those peaks and that can be negotiated on the beach but is definitely not as affordable as it used to be.

you pretty much explained it all and killed my buzz haha..
nah it is what it is.. What are some other options.. feel free to pm me if you don't want to share the information. Ill probably be scootering around dawnys if its whats needed lol..
is there boats to Lombok from there? Basically on a surf mish with the Mrs and kids.. Ill be only one surfing.. mornings usually,
then family friendly entertainment after 1pmish is the plan..
also any cheap massage spots, food spots etc.. think we staying at benoa or something

Nusa dua is pricey; cheaper if you go away from the hotel area but its all relative. You can’t walk without tripping over the next massage spot and yes boats go to Lombok but it’s not really close and would cost you a big chunk of the day each way.

Do not ride a scooter here unless you have ridden motorcycles in heavy traffic where you are from. Even then it’s dicey. Every time I have to go ro the hospital for something the emergency room is full of bleeders suffering from motorcycle crash injuries.
I don’t know any drivers. You can rent a car or a car and driver; online agencies abound as well as some counters at the airport. Taxi works too.

Nusa2/geger is more rights than lefts. Waves have been good lately but not here; wind hasn’t shifted yet.
Don’t know any guides; what kind of trips are you wanting to do?

Leave early for anywhere you decide; you won’t believe the traffic now, easily doubled and maybe tripled since pre covid times. Starting from Bingin it looks like canggu now.

Wind will not favor kuta reef ir any west coast spot but the boat captains on the beach will take you to the reef and back. Taxis and ir google maps can sort you out for any surf break you want to get to; no secrets anymore. If you want in water guiding I can’t help; it would strongly conflict with my opinions on their industry.
It’s begun already; winds are spinning and it is flat as…….tuned up my bike last weekend and just found and dusted off my gym membership card yesterday as it is that time of year again sadly.

i learned lots on this trip.. and I fully understand your first message now.. It was well written.. Don't really want to say too much.. that wicket isn't bad though if you know what is happening.. would have liked to have gone further past benoa.. the reefs out there were going good, but didn't catch my attention enough.. Don't really know whats further east than that water park crazy part lol.. so many people enjoying the watersports.. my next trip i'm bringing a range of boards.. foresure
