Surfing Waves

Hey Y'all

A couple of friends of mine (good surfers) and me are planning to check out the Islands west of Sumatra for the fist time. We're looking (like most, i guess ) for solid OH waves, consistency and manageable crowed without busting the bank.

Now my friends came up with the Telos Islands, specifically a 2 Weeks reservation at Taha's at Telos mid-August. Since the Telos are not as much as swell exposed as other breaks in the area, would you guys think there is the for heavy surf to be found in the area around that island? From what I know one famous Telo break is just around the corner, GT's...

I would seriously look at other more well known surf resorts, there are wave there and could be fun , but you have to do boat trips to other islands to get bigger waves at a cost and loss of surf time, resort looks nice enough.
HTs is quite a boat tripaway about 150 kilometers each way. Not sure of your self ratings but just about anywhere on its day will present barrels and overhead certainly! Look at some of the other offerings as Tahas does not mention specific breaks and like anywhere these days if it is on it will be crowded with highly skilled surfers.
