Planning two weeks thru Oregon and Cali in May

Planning a two week surf trip with a side order of mountain biking, driving down from the BC interior mid May. I'd consider myself an intermediate surfer.

I've spent some time on the Washington coast and went as far south as Oswald state park in Oregon. I have an idea of places I'd like to visit and may go as far south as Santa Barbara if there is still west swell by then.

For allocating time though, is there anywhere on the coastal road you'd recommend spending more than a day or two? Places you really love for surf or maybe mountain biking... or places that are overrated and worth skipping?

Thanks

I've had a lot of fun at Point Arena and Black Point on days with long period waves and low wind. Gualala is the place to stay with good food, an excellent campground, and great spots for hiking and river kayaking!

Shorty's at Oswald was always a personal fav. Always made for a great day at the beach even if the surf didnt work out.

Westport WA can get kinda crowded but has lots if different types of surf spots from the beachfront all the way inside the bay... usually helps keep options open depending on swell size and even wind direction. Pretty awesome fishing town too

I had actually surfed Short's in Oswald and yah I had a good time there. La Push was alright as well.

Short's is as far south as I had surfed. I may hold off on this trip until early September though.
