Surfing Waves

I'm moving to USA next year, I'm currently living in Brazil. The thing is that I dont really know if there are any surfable beaches in the area I'ma move to, which is Miami btw. I know for sure Miami does NOT have surfing waves, but I heard of cities close by that might... Can anyone inform me of such places???

I'm from massachusetts, waaaay north of Fl, but can tell you anywhere on the east coast of FL you will be able to surf pretty much. There are not real consistant swells on the whole east coast of US though. summer will be pretty much flat, best surf will be huricane season (mid august through october-ish). there will be swells occaisionally, but your best bet is wind swell and/or storm surf.

winter is better.. eastcoast of fl get swell from noreasters .. i am 99 percent sure....... but hurricane season is like a bonus round for us

dahui - your from boston also? did you catch the new years eve weekend sell? was a nice way to end the year
