Bali, Bukit Peninsula - Any surfer would like to connect?

Postby Disorienteddd » Wed Sep 28, 2022 2:51 pm

Hi everyone, I just moved to Bali and currently staying in the centre of the Bukit Peninsula. I'm looking for surfers in the area that would like to go surfing together. Ideally I would like to start with Batu Bolong and Balangan, but I'm open to any spot. I'm beginner-intermediate, currently riding a Catch Surf Skipper 6.0. Feel free to get in touch, thanks!

Apa Kabah, an interesting thought but you are clearly aware of your abilities and matching Bukit waves, a driving challenge to get to the appropriate beaches, quite a few guys on the forum are based in Bali so hopefully you get help! Tidak Apa Apa.
I cannot help these days as I’m based in Austria. But welcome and good luck!

I live in the Bukit; never go to Batu Bolong anymore, traffic is prohibitive. If you’re on a catch surf you’ll be best served at Kuta sunce Im guessing by local measures you’re heavy on the beginner side of beginner-intermediate. Kuta is an easy paddle out on smaller days though will likely be above your capabilities when bigger and the currents are running, sandy bottom, has lifeguards on duty and god knows, you’ll never be alone in the water. Its the place to go until you link up with some similarly skilled surf buddies.

Once the winds shift, which they are in the verge of, mushroom head in nusa dua is the go. Neither of these are secret spots and will both be full of beginner intermediates with no tans, who on the plus side will be accommodating to those in the same boat. Good luck!
