Buying a board in Aus.

hi, i'm going to Australia in December :D and am interested in buying a long board over there and shipping it back, does anyone have any places they can recommend that i can get a good board from in the Sydney area?

Hey man.
There should be heaps of longboards for sale floating around the papers and on noticeboards - especially in Bondi, Coogee etc.
If you want to buy new then there are plenty of surf shops around (have a look at a few places so as to not get ripped off).

Hey, i'm in oz at the moment after moving here from England (drop me a line when you get here n we'll go for a surf) I'm finding it quiet hard to buy a second hand board for cheap in Sydney. I head up to the gold coast and surfers paridise soon so i hope that there may be more cheap ones there. most of the boards i have seen are around AU$380 - 450 for second hand, and they aren't in too good nick either. :(

Theres no such thing as cheap boards , I live in Sydney aswell and all I can suggest is get saving ! mind you I just picked up a 1yr old greg webber afterburner for $350 6 6" its an awesome board , of note there is a very good surf shop up a Dee why called Rype , they have a large selection of 2nd hand boards.
