mate,

This really is bordering on the edge of being classified as a stupid question...

Edit 1: Where are you planning to travel... ie. a bit more detail... hell of alot of spots back home... A site I used to use was http://www.surfit.com.au

Theres so many spots in aus its not funny, hence the australian way of life. If from the east coast and boast a lot of bias. but seriously sunshine coast as opposed to gold coast (where surfers paradise is... not so much of a paradise if you like your beach to be chilled out with nice scenery) i hate surfers mainly coz of the skyrise builings right on the beach. Point Danger, Rainbow and other beaches around them are much better. But when you go to the sunny coast furthur north (45mins nth brisbane) rent a car and just drive along pull anywhere you see a sign beach of SLS club. Be sure to check out mudjimba great spot, usually without crowd. Also head towards great barrier, theres a spot about 2hrs north bundeburg. Agnes waters and 1770!!!!!!SAVAGE recommend giving yourself at least a week there. plenty of exploring. there generally great surf on agnes main beach but if ya feel like it hike over the rocks on the right, theres a trail and all youll be sure to find at least one deserted beach with clean barrells!

well depending where you are going.
margs is a great place, try you luck on finding ingy, 3 bears, windmills.
really your best bet is to pick up a surfing guild so you can find all the swells and stuff.
