okay, this is important...so i decided to come out of my "retirement" for this one.

for the long weekend (columbus day and all) i want to drive down south from boston to surf in warmer water, probably NJ. i was wondering if anyone on here from NJ knows of any websites with good surf reports for nj or could reccomend an area/spot for a beginner surfer.

not asking for any "secret spots" or anything like that. something well known is fine. i have never been down there, and know absolutely nothing, and dont plan on frequent trips down there, so i wont crowd your spot or anything.

thanks in advance :D

spots? places to stay? consistancy? anyone?

if you dont wanna list details online pm me please. i can be discrete.

Wow looks like you had a great time - despite the lack of suggestions. (only just saw this post) Where were you? Before I ever started surfing, I knew surfers who surfed LBI - waves there were pretty good.

yeah, i had a blast down there. would have been better if there wasn't so much rain and if the power didn't go out at my hotel  had a good time though. i just stayed near belmar beach, and a nearby jetty. didn't want to stray to far from the hotel and get to lost. it was really good over there anyways. doesn't get that big around massachusetts here. least not with the water that warm.
