Waves Lorne(VIC)

Postby Lotti » Mon Sep 17, 2018 3:03 am

Does anyone knows something about the waves in Lorne?
Are there good spots there and do you know which time the best is to go surfing in Lorne?
Thank you, Lotti:)

Surfing waves has a surf map but unfortunatley doesn't list any breaks by Lorne but there are a couple on either side of Lorne https://surfing-waves.com/atlas/australasia_pacific/australia/victoria/great_ocean_road.html I am from Hawaii and never been there maybe there are others who have.
So what is worse.... dying or regretting it for the rest of my life? Obviously I chose not regretting it.

Plenty of places around Lorne; indeed its been one of the centres of Australian surfing for a long time.

What do you mean by 'best time'? As in time of year, or time of day, or time of tide?

Main beach is probably best for beginners; Lorne point is also an option but could be pretty crowded and can be big.
