Costa Rica Playa Hermosa tips

I'm planning a trip to Costa rica and will most likely end up at playa Hermosa (unless a better spot is mentioned). Does anyone has a good surf lodge to recommend? I prefer not a fancy resort but a chilled basic lodge with like minded surfers.
Curious to hear tips & advice.
