Hello Community!
I would love to go to a surfing trip in winter and would therefore be looking for the best location.
At this time I am thinking about Karibik, Florida or Asia.
Would be happy to hear about your suggestions.

Marianne

Marianne, to really help you escape winter and be safe surfing it would be good to know what level you surf at.
Also what time of year your winter is, obviously the Southern Hemisphere summer fits the full northern hemisphere winter but some zones do not have surf. The tropics have warm to hot weather all year round but have wet and dry seasons and the surf comes from further away.
Some areas have a distinct surf season, so the more information you give us the better answers we can give you!

Hello!
I would love to escape winter from January to February. About my surfing level I am an intermediate level surfer and wanted to try to surf on the waves on Andaman see near Phuket. Have someone of you ever surfed their and could tell me if it would be possible for me to enjoy surfing there?
Would be great if so, because I would also love to follow the suggestions of my friends and try some of the charter boat trips.

Depend on which Andaman Islands you plan to go to, Andaman and Nicobar are the main tourist one. Other island are Indian protectorates, and special permits are needed, some you cannot land at all , native tribal areas, the surf is still frontier zone so you will need to be self sufficient in surf knowledge and ability.

The time is quite wrong to for prime Indian Ocean surf but best for holidays during European winter months, so learner level swell will be possible.
If you are thinking surf at Phuket, answer is yes but not a certainty you can rent boards and there are guides there.

So maybe you will be lucky. :D

Hey Marianne, I am spending a couple of days in Phuket at the start of July so I will let you know what its like :)
There are places hiring boards but I have heard the waves can be a bit hit or miss so I am just hoping for the best.
