Hi all, I am heading to Cape Town for a month in December. I am planning on buying some boards and bringing them home, some for myself, some to sell. Does anyone know of websites for big surf shops there, as I'm having no luck searching the net. Also, any ideas how much Spiders go for in Cape Town?

Thanks guys!

Hi!!..

Take a look at this link.. This might help.

I go to Muizenberg every Xmas and normally shop in Lifestyle there, but this'll give you an idea of which areas have surf shops. Have you looked into how much it'll cost to bring them back cos most of the airlines sting you for carrying boards?
As far as prices of Spiders, I'm not sure but when i was in Lifestyle, i was looking at the new customs and they were really cheap compared to here.. But again you may get stung on shipping and they're not the most carefull of people with boards!!!

Hey, Thanks alot for the reply. I emailed Mr. Spider himself and he quoted me like €350 each! I thought they'd be alot cheaper than that!

Hi,
I would go direct to a shaper, not a shop, some pretty good guys in Cape Town now. David Stubbs will do you a custom board for R2500 +/-($380). Here’s his site:

Might be cheaper if you order more than one board.
Try a search on google.co.za as well.
