hey all! my boyfriend and i are saving up for traveling in new zealand next year and i was just wondering if anyone had any tips for us?

he's an experienced surfer, but im still pretty new, so where are some spots that are good for both of us? any must see places? how much money would you recommend taking to last a few months? is it pretty easy to get hold of a camper van out there? best time of year to go? also, whats the best bet for which kind of board to take?

basically, any kind of info will be much appreciated!!

cheers x x

I only got to see Raglan....that's definitely worth it......
get a van and explore....it's beautiful....
I was there in June, the water was sooooo freaking cold.....but nice....
money wise.....hmm....surf all day and you won't spend any money at all ;-)

Ha ha i didnt even see this till now. Waaaay too many breaks to mention, seriously they are everywhere, west coast over by Raglan, east coast in the Bay of Plenty, and far north. To be honest theres so many beaches and breaks the above list is arbitary, just grab a van and go!

This little baby is well worth investing in if you ask me. TONS of useful info. A New Zealand surfing bible if ever there was one! Delivery to the UK is quite cheap. I'm off there myself in November.
